The Baby Rocker is an innovative wireless baby car seat rocking device designed to enhance the comfort of infants while providing convenience for parents. This universal device can be easily attached to any baby seat, automatically initiating a gentle rocking motion to soothe babies, whether at home or on the move.

The challenge

Our client envisioned a smart, hands-free rocking device that could attach universally to baby seats without altering their structure or compromising safety. It needed to be compact, wireless, and intuitive to use, while replicating a natural rocking motion that would calm infants consistently. The device had to function reliably across various surfaces and seat designs, and had to operate quietly without disturbing the baby. Balancing motion mechanics, battery life, and portability in a compact form factor presented complex engineering challenges. At the same time, the product needed to pass child safety standards, remain lightweight, and support both indoor and travel use—without compromising comfort or functionality.

Our approach

We started by mapping movement patterns that mimic the natural sway known to soothe babies, translating that into a compact mechanical system powered by a quiet motor. Our product designers focused on creating a sleek, minimal housing that could adapt to different car seats and carriers, while our engineers developed a responsive embedded system to regulate motion intensity and timing. Battery optimization was key—we engineered a power-efficient motor to support long-term use on a single charge. The team prototyped and refined multiple attachment mechanisms to ensure the device was safe, secure, and compatible with a wide range of seats. Usability testing with parents helped us perfect the device's functionality, making it both effective and intuitive.

The solution

The final product is a lightweight, wireless baby rocker that delivers a calming, rhythmic motion—seamlessly attaching to nearly any baby seat without the need for complex setup. It was engineered with a quiet, power-efficient motor to ensure long-lasting use while maintaining a peaceful environment for the baby. The intuitive design requires no special tools and offers universal compatibility, making it easy for parents to use at home or while travelling. With its thoughtful form factor, soft curves, and child-safe materials, the device balances functionality with aesthetic appeal—delivering comfort for infants and convenience for caregivers, wherever they go.
